Many rooms are comfortable, but those that are luxuriously comfortable indulge their occupants with elements that speak to all of the senses. Fabrics that combine pretty colors and touchable textures; fine furniture, beautiful in form and finish, that coddles the human form; and art and antiques that evoke emotions and perhaps memories. These are among the kinds of rooms that Thomas Bartlett designs.
Thomas Bartlett has spent more than 49 years as a professional Interior Designer creating spaces ranging from modest to luxurious, residential to commercial. He is a native and resident of California’s Napa Valley, and while a large number of his clients have been from this region, he has also serviced clients located all over the United States.
Thomas Bartlett received his education at the California College of Arts and Crafts, worked for some time at the Hearst Castle in San Simeon and then went on to be the founder and principle designer of Thomas Bartlett Interiors. Over the years, he has been exposed to a vast array of art, architecture, antiques and decorative arts. In addition, his numerous and extensive visits to Europe have proved to be both educational and inspiring, influencing much of his work today. In fact, the outdoor furniture line of metal known as The Bartlett Collection and now owned by his daughter Melina Bartlett, was born of his interpretation of the classic furniture seen at the Villa San Michele outside Florence, Italy.
In addition to various private residential spaces, Thomas Bartlett has participated in many of the Decorator Showcase Houses in both Napa and San Francisco from 1979 to the present.
